Franck Meyo

I am Meyo Okono Franck Patherson, also known as Franck Meyo. Currently, I am in the second year of my Ph.D. program at the University of Douala in Cameroon. My research focuses on the functional diversity of bats in the Campo-Ma’an National Park and its surrounding areas in Southern Cameroon. Since 2020, I have been engaged in the study of bat systematics, including morphology, morphometry, and echolocation, as well as their ecology, habitat protection, and conservation. This research has been conducted in the lab of Dr. Eric Bakwo Fils.

I have a keen interest in applying integrative taxonomy to my research. My goal is to explore how habitat changes affect the functional traits of bats and how bats can respond and adapt to these changes. To achieve this, I am taking into account bat diversity, functional diversity, ecology, trophic guild, acoustics, and genomics.
